There Will Be A Constitution Party President In 3046!

(Christian Gallery News Service, November 18, 2004)  In 1992, Howard Phillips (the same Howard Phillips who is the founder and the main strategist for today's Constitution Party) ran for President of the USA under the banner of the U.S. Taxpayers Party.    In that election, the U.S. Taxpayer Party polled 43,434 votes nationwide.  In 1996, Howard Phillips again ran for President under the U.S. Taxpayer Party and increased his nationwide total to 184,820 votes.    In 2000, the U.S. Taxpayer Party changed its name to the Constitution Party.  Howard Phillips ran for President again under the Constitution Party's banner and polled 98,020 votes nationwide.  In 2004, Howard Phillips passed the mantle of authority to Michael Peroutka who polled 135,260 votes nationwide in the Presidential election.  If you run the numbers, you will see that at the present rate of electoral success there is a statistical possibility that the Constitution Party will elect a President of the United States of America by 3046.*  (*Depending on the mathematical model used, some projections show the first successful candidacy might not occur until 4286, with other models projecting the first successful candidacy not until 5880.)

Christians PUTTING A  ON THE 2004 ELECTION

Two weeks after the election, the Constitution Party released a report that tells where they are going.  Called "Elections Report of the Constitution Party" and written by Bill Shearer, former Constitution Party National Chairman, it exclaimed, "Constitution Party members have cause to celebrate!  Their 2004 presidential ticket of Michael Peroutka for President and Dr. Chuck Baldwin for Vice President received 34% more votes this year than in the previous election!"

Following that celebration theme, the supporters of the Constitution Party held what they called their Victory Party on November 14, 2004.  I quote below from the Constitution Party Web site where they ran the following review of the "victory" celebration: 

Whew!! What a party! What a celebration! What a wonderful blessing to spend this historic evening in the company of friends, family, colleagues, supporters -- Americans, who care deeply about their country -- care about their country's government

THE END OF SELF-DECEPTION

Death is the end of self-deception.  Even the most rabid atheist agrees with Bible believers on this, although their reasoning differs dramatically.  Since the atheist believes all consciousness ends at death, self-deception, along with all other uses of consciousness would have to go.  But for those who believe the Bible, self-deception will end at death because every lie will be revealed in the Presence of the Judge.

But the Christian should not have to wait for death to be delivered from self-deception.  With access to the Holy Spirit, who is Himself the Spirit of Truth, the christian can find deliverance from self-deception in this life--even at this very moment.

The Constitution party and those who continue to support its past strategy of failure are perfect examples of what self-deception looks like up close and personal.  Four Presidential elections have demonstrated that it would take millennia at the present rate of party growth to elect a President in the USA, yet Constitution party faithful still act like their party offers an actual solution for the problems facing God's people in the USA.  Surely those people are not so arithmatically challenged that they cannot do the math.  The only way to explain their behavior is they have been deceived.  Since there is nobody other than themselves persuading them to participate in the Constitution party, then they must be deceiving themselves!

Thirty two years have proven it is a vain and futile fantasy to believe we can create political change by using a political party that requires a majority of voters to accomplish its political objectives.  To continue with that fantasy must be seen at this point in time to be an absolutely irrational exercise in political futility.  It does not take a prophet to see that continuing such an exercise beyond this point in time will accomplish nothing at all except pander to the delusions of grandeur of its political leaders.

ENDING SELF-DECEPTION NOW

For the Christian, the time for self-deception must be past!  It is time we committed ourselves to a solution that has the power to change things within our lifetimes rather than invest ourselves in solutions that would take a thousand years or more.

The first thing that must be done is to coldly and ruthlessly analyze the indisputable facts and admit the total failure of every political action in the last 30 odd years that has tried to find a majority willing to effectuate real change with the power to arrest the desecration in our midst.

Such a majority simply does not exist in this generation.  In fact, as Howard Phillips and his supporters have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt--except to self-deceiving souls who will believe anything even if there is not one shred of material evidence to validate their faith--there is only a minority composed of less than one percent of the American voting public that is willing to support the kind of political changes advocated by the Constitution Party.

But if you will think about it, that's GOOD news!  What, at first glance, seems like a terribly depressing fact can actually be seen to be the most hopeful news available to Christians in this nation.

THE SOLUTION

If we cannot expect to obtain a majority using the political tactics practiced by the Constitution party, we must try new tactics, ones that do not require a majority, tactics that can be successfully accomplished building on the minority already identified by the Constitution party.

While the support of 135,260 people is a pitiful and meaningless base of support for a Presidential candidate who requires a majority to be elected, that same number of people scattered across this nation who are committed to leading a secession movement can command the attention of this nation and begin to bring this nation back to God.

http://www.christiangallery.com/TCRP.htm defines the only solution that can arrest the desecration in our lifetime.  To ignore this solution and pretend that we are presently doing anything except contribute to the spread of the desecration in our midst is an exercise in self-deception that will end one way or the other.  Of that, at least, you can be sure.
