WHAT A DIFFERENCE ELEVEN DAYS MAKES

The CNN newspaper report stated the facts clearly. "Shannon Beck...was arrested in connection with the disappearance of 11-day-old Abigale "Abby" Lynn Woods, who became known as "Baby Abby."

Baby Abby, the eleven year old baby, had become the object of a nationwide manhunt mobilizing tens of thousands of law enforcement officers and captivating the attention and concern of tens of millions of American citizens. Baby Abby was finally found because an observant citizen remembered that Baby Abby had a birthmark on her forehead and when she saw a very young baby wearing makeup on her forehead, she immediately realized it could be Baby Abby. Later that day, Baby Abby was returned safe and sound to her family.

Praise God! was the national response.

There is another part of this story that the national media only covered peripherally. But that part of the story shines a powerful spotlight of truth on American society today.

There was another baby you see; but that baby was not only ignored by the national media, it was not even admitted to be a baby.

The same CNN articles reported that the woman who was in possession of the kidnapped Baby Abby, and therefore could be assumed to have been her kidnapper, had herself lost...well, I'll let the CNN article explain it. They wrote, "[Shannon] Beck miscarried a full-term fetus on Friday, the same day Abby was abducted and the baby's mother, 21-year-old Stephanie Ochsenbine, was attacked with a knife, authorities said."

See the difference eleven days makes? Baby Abby was a baby, a full bodied human being deserving all the protective reflexes of the mightiest nation in the history of the world. But the other "thing," the "thing" that lacked the eleven days outside the womb of her mother, was a "full-term fetus." A full-term fetus.

What a difference eleven days makes in the minds of we the people of the United States of America. Eleven days means we identify the creature as like unto ourselves; eleven days means we care for that creature as we would want to be cared for ourselves; eleven days means we command all the resources of the most powerful nation on earth to defend the life and liberty of that creature; eleven days means we give life instead of death.

But eleven days earlier there was a wall, a wall so high that hardly anybody in the United States of America could see over it, a wall so thick that hardly anybody in America could get through it. On the other side of that wall was the full-term fetus. The full-term fetus was a creature utterly enslaved to the whim of the mother, utterly enslaved by the whim of we the people of the United States of America.

Think about what had happened when Shannon Beck "miscarried her full-term fetus." She had learned a horrible lesson. She learned that it was not only the whim of the mother that determined whether unborn fetuses lived or died. She learned there was Another, One who giveth and One who taketh away. And her "full-term fetus" had been taken away.

In the face of the fact that her "full-term fetus" was taken away, Shannon Beck apparently decided to exercise her sovereignty over babies and went looking for one wherever it could be found.

Who can deny that Shannon Beck went insane, thinking she had the right to do with babies as she arbitrarily decreed without regard to any other standard to guide her decisions?

But if we see that Shannon Beck went insane, what is it called when we the people create completely different categories for babies only eleven days apart in age?

Call it what it is: call it insanity; for there is insanity when people use words to create confusion about human beings and who they are in reality for the purpose of legally taking the lives of those people. It was insane when the people of Germany did it to the Jews and the homosexuals and the Gypsies and the Russians and the Poles; and it is insanity when we the people of the United States of America do it to babies today. But there's another word that fits such actions as well if not better. That word is evil. In the arbitrary and capricious decision to create completely different categories for creatures whose only real point of separation is eleven days, it is possible to see clearly the growing evil and insanity that is the mind of the most powerful nation that has ever existed in the history of the world.

God deliver us from this evil and insanity!
