(Christian Gallery News Service May 23, 2005) During the past two weeks no story has enraged serious monotheists around the world more than the May 9, 2005 Newsweek magazine report that Muslim prisoners at Guantanamo Bay were tortured by having to watch the Koran placed on commodes or even flushed down toilets. In response to the story, protests occurred across the Muslim world and more than a few people (the numbers are uncertain) were killed in riots in Afghanistan. Muslim rulers like Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai and Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf rushed to prove they were opposed to desecrating the Koran to advance the War on Terror. Protests continue to this day in Muslim nations around the world.
Official Washington--the White House, the Defense Department and the Pentagon--responded by denying that the Koran had been desecrated at all, either at Guantanamo or any prison holding Muslims throughout the world. Not only did Official Washington deny the story, they forced Newsweek to issue a retraction of the Koran desecration story and to promise the American people that Newsweek would alter the way they accumulate evidence for stories in the future.
Following is an example of the Official Washington denials: "Obviously the destruction of any kind of holy book... is something that is reprehensible and not in keeping with US policies and practices," state department spokesman Tom Casey said.

Continuing protests and attacks prove that hardly any Muslin in the world believes denials from Official Washington.
By all accounts Official Washington, as well as most of the American people, are shocked to learn that the world thinks we are lying when we say we would not desecrate a Holy Book.
Why doesn't the world believe us when we say we would not desecrate a Holy Book?
The answer is obvious to everyone except people who have chosen to ignore the obvious. The whole world has watched for two generations as the government of the United States of America has desecrated the historic American Holy Book of choice--the Holy Bible--in ways that are infinitely worse than the symbolic desecration illustrated by the image of the defecating President.
The world knows that the government of the USA, through decrees of the Supreme Court of the USA, has OFFICIALLY destroyed the authority of the Holy Bible in this nation. This is an infinitely worse desecration than any symbolic desecration like flushing the Holy Bible down a toilet. To destroy the authority of the Holy Bible is no symbolic destruction but is an actual destruction that is exactly equivalent to literally removing the Holy Book from existence.
Finally all a Holy Book has that makes it Holy is the authority of the text found in the Holy Book to guide the minds of people as they make decisions about the fundamental questions of right and wrong that literally determine not only the course of individuals but of nations as well.
In the United States of America during the last two generations there has been an actual destruction of the Holy Bible in this nation. And what have the American people done? Have there been riots? Have there been massive protests to show the determination of the American people to retain and defend the sacred writings of their Holy Book?
Instead of effective action that reversed the revolution destroying the authority of the Holy Bible, there has been instead the creation of a multi-million dollar industry composed of thousands of Christians who whine and make promises of change but who do nothing but profit financially from the continuing destruction of the Holy Bible. Paradoxically, the very people who claim to be trying to arrest the desecration of the authority of the Holy Bible in this nation are the ones who are profiting from its destruction.
President Bush, who claims to be a Christian who believes the Holy Bible is the only true rule and guide for human conduct on earth could issue an Executive Order overturning every Supreme Court edict that outlawed the Holy Bible but chooses not to exercise that power. That is tantamount to doing to the Holy Bible exactly what I have portrayed him doing in the image at the beginning of this article.
It's no wonder that serious monotheists like the Muslims think we're lying when we deny desecrating their Holy Book. Looking at the response of the American people to the actual destruction of the Holy Bible as the rule and guide underpinning all governement decisions leading to the formation of law, is it any wonder that Muslims think we would desecrate their book if it advanced our agenda in the War on Terrorism?
America would not desecrate the Koran? Please. The world knows there are numerous examples of Muslim prisoners being tortured to death while in American custody. Do we think those people would believe we will kill their prisoners, yet somehow refrain from desecrating the Koran if we thought it would result in obtaining the information we wanted.
News reports have documented the fact that female soldiers used sexual weapons, even menstral blood, as weapons of torture against the prisoners in Guantanamo. We have all seen the photographs of female American soldiers parading Muslim prisoners around on leashes. Now we expect the Muslim world to believe us when we say, "...the destruction of any kind of holy book... is something that is reprehensible and not in keeping with US policies and practices..."
If the events in the past two generations prove anything it is this: all protestations from Christians to the contrary notwithstanding, the real agenda of the American people is to literally destroy the authority of any and every Holy Book on this planet. We the people of the USA are hellbent on making the will of the majority, as revealed through the decrees handed down by the Supreme Court of the USA, the actual embodiment of the will of god on earth.
Insulting the Koran or the Prophet Muhammad is regarded as blasphemy and punishable by death in both Pakistan and Afghanistan and most Muslim nations that have not already been conquered and occupied by the secular regimes put in place by the government of the United States of America. To prove just how far into the secular abyss the USA has sunk, the only protest this article will generate in the United States will be about the fact that I exposed the President of the USA's genitalia to public view. Hardly anyone will even think about the turd I exposed lying on the Holy Bible.
