JIMMY CARTER: APOSTATE CHRISTIAN Will He Take His Nobel Peace Prize To Hell?
In
1997 or 98 I wrote an article about Jimmy Carter called “Jimmy Carter: False
Teacher.” I published the article on
the Internet and mailed it to every major newspaper in I
know that's a hard picture to get in focus.
Suffice it to say that through a miraculous series of events I had
been allowed to be furloughed from federal prison to attend the National
Prayer Breakfast in But
as the years passed and I was given the chance to graduate from Westminster
Seminary, where they take Holy Scripture very seriously, I began to have my
doubts about Jimmy Carter as a Bible teacher or an example of Christian
leadership. All doubt was removed when
I heard about statements Jimmy Carter had made in an editorial he wrote in
the Atlanta Journal and Constitution newspaper. This
is the article I wrote: JIMMY CARTER: False Teacher Jimmy
Carter needs to be muzzled because he's devouring people alive. Evidence for
this is found in a recent Atlanta Urinal and Constipation editorial written
by Carter. Carter
says, "As a conservative Baptist, I am deeply concerned about arguments
that have driven wedges between people. I have in mind abortion and
homosexuality." And why is
he concerned? Carter
states his position clearly. "the leaders of the early church treated
homosexual acts the same as fornication, prostitution, adultery" No
argument there. Next, he quoted 1 Cor. 6:9,10, "Be not deceived: neither
fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of
themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers,
nor extortioners, shall inherit the But then
Jimmy Carter made an absolutely mind-boggling statement that proves Jimmy
Carter is either in the last throes of senility or Jimmy Carter is nothing
more than one of satan's most effective agents. He wrote, "Then he (the
Apostle Paul) immediately goes on to say that all these acts listed in 1 Cor.
6 had been forgiven." And that's
it. Fini! Jimmy Carter said that the Apostle Paul said the "acts had
been forgiven." Do you see
it? Carter says nothing about those acts being forgiven to those who had
repented of those sins and accepted the sacrifice of Christ Jesus on I'm going
to go real slow here and do my best not to sound sarcastic. Anybody who
claims to be a christian--who calls themselves a "conservative
Baptist"--and does not know that the Apostle Paul would be tempted to
throttle them if they suggested people could be forgiven for sins without
repentance and faith in Christ Jesus, then that person is, like I said,
either terminally senile or a lying rampaging agent of satan. Forgiveness
for sins comes through repentance and faith in the finished atoning sacrifice
of Christ Jesus on There is a
lot of talk these days about how God hates sin but loves the sinner. And
that's true. God does hate sin; and he loved the sinner enough to give
Himself in Christ Jesus to pay for the sins of those who repent and accept
His sacrifice. But God does not love unrepentant sinners. Listen to
ex-Presidents and others all you want, but the fact is God hates not only sin
but unrepentant sinners. If all us sinners don't accept Jesus Christ as our
Lord and Savior, we'll get a chance to see His hatred come Judgement Day. The
article generated some attention in Then
there was silence about Jimmy Carter, the Bible teacher. Jimmy
Carter maintained his role as the unofficial spokesman for Southern Baptists
until October, 2000, when he announced that he would "no longer be
associated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest denomination of
Protestants in the Please
don't get the idea that I think disassociation with Southern Baptists and the
Southern Baptist Convention is grounds for going to hell. In fact, I would normally see that as a
positive development. I was raised a
Southern Baptist but now I have personally been gaveled from the pulpit into
silence in my home Southern Baptist Church and prevented from telling people
who go to the church where my daddy is buried about the sinful collaboration
with legalized child sacrifice not only myself but all us citizens of the USA
presently participate in. The next
Southern Baptist Church I tried to belong to formally withdrew fellowship
from me in what amounts to the Southern Baptist version of excommunication
and the Amish shunning because they didn't want to be associated with my
attempts to break free from my present enslavement to the sinful federal
government that has legalized child sacrifice and exiled the God of the Bible
from the counsels of law and government. But
Jimmy Carter's problem with the Southern Baptist Convention is another matter
entirely. In an article published in
the "Baptist Standard" in "Most
disturbing," Carter said, "has been the convention's recent
decision to remove Jesus Christ, through his words, deeds and personal
inspiration, as the ultimate interpreter of the Holy Scriptures. This leaves open making the pastors or
executives of the SBC the ultimate interpreters." Look
closely at what Jimmy Carter is saying.
He is suggesting that his personal image of Jesus Christ,
"through his works, deeds and personal inspiration" is to be the
"ultimate interpreter of the Holy Scriptures..." Such
a strategy is well known today. Hardly
a day passes without some homosexual
writing me and castigating me for judging him and his homosexual actions when
Jesus Christ told me not to judge anyone at all. Fact
is, virtually everyone in this nation, pagan and Christian alike, have
conjured themselves a private Jesus who they look to as the final grantor of
license to act. Not surprising, these
private Jesuses are willing to grant sanction to anything the individual
really feels like they need to do. I
have literally heard many times when Christians, in the throes of trying to
understand what to do about an unwanted pregnancy, decided to "pray about
it" and after praying about it believed they received permission from
"Jesus" to go kill the person God had conceived. Christian congregations across the land
elect abortionists to sit on their deacon boards. It is only a slight exaggeration or perhaps
no exaggeration at all if reports are true, that christian churches comprised
of majority homosexual members are very close to making the act of fellatio
or anal intercourse a new sacrament. How
do they do this? They
have listened to all the Christians like Jimmy Carter who think all you have
to do to understand the will of God is ask, "What Would Jesus Do?" The
problem I am discussing is as old as the Christian Church. In fact, the Apostle Paul addressed exactly
this same situation in In
II Corinthians 11:4, the Apostle Paul said, "For if he that cometh
preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another
spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not
accepted, ye might well bear with him." In
other words, it has long been the standard method for apostasy to masquerade
as Jesus Christ--"another Jesus" as Paul named it. But
the Apostle Paul did not mince words in explaining what such people would
receive for their confusion, "II Cor 4: 13For such are false apostles,
deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And
no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore
it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of
righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." In
Galatians 1: 8-9. the Apostle Paul was even more specific about what would be
the end of those who presumed to distort the words of Holy Scripture,
creating a private Jesus contrary to the One who was crucified on a Roman
cross for the sins of the world and was raised on the third day as the Savior
of those who would come to Him in repentance and faith, "8But though we,
or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we
have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now
again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have
received, let him be accursed." What
is the point? The point is we are not
to teach about any other Jesus except the One the Apostles knew. Jesus Christ is not a matter of private
interpretation any more than Holy Scripture itself is a matter of private
interpretation. The Apostles themselves
delivered unto us an image of the Lord Jesus Christ in the words of Holy
Scripture. But not just the Apostles,
so too did all the prophets of old reveal to us that which we were to believe
about the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact,
the entire edifice of Holy Scripture, from beginning to end, is a complete
revelation in words of Jesus Christ.
But God does not stop with that revelation. Jesus Christ did not leave Himself without
witness even for those who ignore Scripture.
There is One here now who works within and on every person on this
planet to reveal the knowledge of what the Apostle Paul called "the
light of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." If
the Bible is correct, to Christians as well as to the world, this is the most
important subject that can be mouthed by the mouth of man. Those who blithely say "What Would
Jesus Do" as if the answer is self-evident and easy to understand and a
matter of some functional biblically illiterate's private interpretation of
the character of Jesus Christ will give an account someday for the confusion
they bring into this world. They will
give an account just as Jimmy Carter will give an account, just as I will
give an account. I'm just glad I'm not
in Jimmy Carter's shoes. He can take his
million dollars US and take his chances on hell, and I'll take the Jesus
delivered unto me by the Apostles through the Holy Spirit of God. Obviously
I have only scratched the surface in this subject. If you want to understand the totality of
what I believe God has taught me, read my book THE JESUS THAT PAUL KNEW. It's in print and you can order it at http://www.christiangallery.com/catalog.htm God
help us all to know the Jesus that Paul knew! Neal
