Is The Church A Cowardly Whore? First, a word about the title. The Church is not headed by Jesus if the thing that claims to be THE CHURCH is an apostate body, utterly disconnected from the Lord. It can still claim the name of THE CHURCH because people can use the words of God anyway they choose, even directly opposite from the way God intends. They remain the same words, merely mean the opposite. I wouldn't want to do that. But until people quit claiming to be The Church who are literally whores to Babylon, I don't see a way to avoid having to define these terms in every communication I make. I think I defined what I mean by The Church clearly in the context of this article. I doubt anyone reading it will think I was referring to that of which the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head.
Now the short answer to the question posed by the title is this: if the "something" that we are doing perpetuates an unjust status quo instead of stopping it, "something" is the worst thing we can do because it gives people the idea that they are at least doing, well, something. That idea can be used to justify continuing in the status quo because they can claim to at least be doing "something." And, given our present context, that makes the answer to the question posed by the titleYes. That's what's happening in the Church today. Instead of doing what we should be doing, we are pretending in the face of a world gone insane that impotent and futile "something" is appropriate action.
But the only appropriate action in the face of injustice is to do what is necessary to establish not "something" but JUSTICE. In other words, the only appropriate response to injustice is to establish justice. Anything short of justice is not an acceptable goal, no matter how easy it is to justify actions that fall short of the goal.
And such actions are the easiest actions on earth to justify because establishing justice sometimes requires payment of the highest price any commodity can command: life itself.
Police people accept the fact that merely going to work each day committed to performing their duties at work might well cost them their lives. They accept this cost as a job risk. So too does every public servant worth the salary they receive.
But somehow this generation of Christians--all of whom claim to be, and are called to be, public servants--has decided that we don't have to be prepared to pay such a high cost.
This attitude among Christians has always tended to be taught by women. In fact such an attitude is the primary message women have always tended to bring to any serious discussion of life and death matters. Women can always find a way to explain why they are not being called to die. While this particular lie might be distinctive to Eve, uh, women, women really can't be blamed because they are, well, women.
The men of the Church though that is a different matter. In this generation the men of the Church have embraced this effeminate view of the world and duty and service to God following the example of homosexual Christians.
Yet male Christian leaders claim to be the same gender as the Lord Jesus Christ, and they deny being homosexuals. These men claim to bear in their flesh the same equipment the Lord Jesus Christ received, and claim his attitude toward duty. In fact, the leaders of the Church even claim to WALK IN HIS SPIRIT.
If you want to understand why the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ appears to be an impotent, cowardly Whore, don't blame the women, blame the men of the Church. And if you want to explain the 37 year impotence of the pro-life movement, call us Whores, call us all Whores until we learn to make establishing justice for the least of God's children being legally murdered in this nation our first and only priority in service to the Lord Jesus Christ. Then we will be free to go about other matters, like, say, pleasing the women.
Get it? If you do, you need to see the rage that is growing in God because of whorish idolotry. Watch this: http://www.imprecatoryprayer.com/nahum.html If you don't get it, just continue going about your business. Neal
