EXPLANATION OF THE GRAPHIC:

On January 18, 2008 a news story reported, "Abortion Numbers Reach Lowest Level in 30 Years, 25% Decline Since 1990."

Immediately pro-lifes across the country broke out in hymns of praise.

Goaded by that response from Christians, I visualized the graphic above and published it.

Michael Bray, a respected friend, replied to my graphic by saying,

"Do not confuse thanksgiving for a good thing (100,000 fewer dead babies) with thanksgiving for a victory over the holocaust. You need not quarrel needlessly."

I responded to him:

This is no needless quarrel. I think I submitted an important point in the political cartoon. And this is the point: In the absence of men of God who establish God's law forbidding abortion, the control over the women committing abortion is in the hands of Satan--they kill or don't kill on the basis of Satan's control of their flesh. The increase or reduction in abortion is therefore in Satan's hands who controls the rate of abortion by the tempation he produces in the flesh of those who bear the conception of God.

It should be clear that God or God's men do not control that which is controlled by Satan. To fail to see that point is to create the confusion whereby God is seen to somehow be collobarating with the decision to abort babies. While it is true that God could have entered into a contract of temptation with Satan as He did with Job, there is nothing that I see in this situation that makes me think that is the case with legalized abortion in the USA. In this situation, the facts seem to make it clear that Satan has risen up and overthrown the law of God once firmly established in this nation, using as his agents men and women who either consciously or subconsciously choose to serve Satan rather than God.

You talk about confusion. I think Christians in the USA are confused and my graphic is an attempt to undo that confusion. The Christians who go and pray about having an abortion, then, after prayer, go kill their babies shows the endemic confusion rife among those who call themselves Christians. These Christians twist the idea of God's Sovereignty so that God is seen to be the author of the death of aborted babies in the same way God could be seen to be the authority over Job's trials.

God's involvement presently consists of trying to charge and equip men of God to reestablish His Law with power in the USA to resist each and every tempation to abortion.
When you applaud a reduction in abortion, you make it look like it is God who is presently in control of the dynamic around abortion. The fact is God's law has presently been overthrown where abortion is concerned and Satan presently stands triumphant over those who participate in abortion because the law of this nation is controlled by Satan's will instead of God's will. When you applaud that which Satan controls--the number of babies killed in legalized abortion--you applaud Satan.

Do not be an agent of confusion yourself. As long as one baby is legally murdered in this nation, there is nothing to celebrate. There is only the expectation of the wrath of God to be revealed against this nation. You might know that God wins in the end, and you might know that Gods' people will be saved for eternity, but until the law against abortion is established here on earth and God's will is set in power against the work of Satan here on earth, Satan rules. Until God's law is reestablished, those who applaud changes in that which Satan rules--unless those changes consist of the establishment of the law of God in power--applaud Satan.
