ARRESTING THE SPIRIT OF MURDER IN THIS NATION
(Christian Gallery News Service, October 3, 2006) You know the horrible facts we have been forced to face during the past week: three schools have been hit by deadly attacks. A gunman killed himself and five girls Monday at a one-room Amish schoolhouse in Pennsylvania; on Friday a 15-year-old Wisconsin student shot and killed his principal; and last Wednesday a man took six girls hostage in Colorado, sexually assaulting them before fatally shooting one girl and killing himself. Now President George W. Bush, alarmed by these recent attacks at public schools across the country, is bringing education and law enforcement experts together for a conference on coming to grips with the problem. Watch that conference and you will see a textbook study on what it looks like when the blind is leading the blind.
Hardly anybody in this nation, certainly not the President and his supporters, has a clue what is propelling the spirit of murder washing across this nation like a virulent and pestilent tsunami killing the weakest and must vulnerable people in its path. That ignorance sets the stage for the President's conference. The conference the President has called will be an exercise in selective disregard of that which should be obvious to every person in this nation, but which, because of mankind's ability to choose to ignore as well as choose to see, remains totally invisible to the vast majority of people in this nation.
What are we the people ignoring?
We are ignoring the fact that we the people have legalized murder in these presently united States of America. Because we ignore this fundamental material fact, this structuring principle of our present generation, we don't have a clue why the spirit of murder is running rampant across this nation, murdering in the most heinous manner imaginable the icons of love and beauty and goodness that we the people are supposed to be protecting as our highest priority.
What did we think would happen when we the people legalized murder? Did we think we could invite the spirit of murder to come and live with us in this nation and the spirit of murder would meekly bow to our agenda? Did we stop and look at what has always happened in every period of recorded history when a nation has legalized murder? No, we did not.
And why did we not examine what has always happened when people legalized murder?
We decided to ignore the fact that we the people had legalized murder, that's why. We decided to use our sovereignty over language to recast the words we use to guide the connection we make between the images in our brains and the things that exist outside our brains in objective reality. We took that which had always been understood to be murder and we called it something else, something that was not murder, something that was not even illegal in any of the 50 States of these presently united States of America. So when we looked around us we did not see that we had legalized murder. We saw something else, something we called legalized abortion.
And now we are harvesting the horribly foul, poisonous and terrible fruit of our decisions.
How much longer will we the people continue to disregard what we have done? How much longer? How much more carnage must we try to absorb into consciousness without becoming utterly enslaved ourselves to the spirit of murder we have let loose in this nation?
When you see the spirit of murder coming for you personally will you remember God has had people here trying to warn you? Will your stone cold hard heart beat with the heat of love, love for your own personal life, then?
Mark my words: Keep ignoring what we need to do to arrest the spirit of murder and you will find that when the spirit of murder comes for you, no matter how hot and hard your heart beats with love for you and your children, it will be too late. It will be too late.
