(Christiangallery News Service, October 20, 2002)  The DC Sniper hit his twelvth target of opportunity last night.  Perhaps the argument of events is now making it possible for the citizens of the USA to put these events into their proper historical perspective.  I hope so because I’ve been doing everything in my power for at least seventeen years now to tell the people of the USA that we were all living in a war zone.

I began by trying to use satire to get people to see the war.  While a student at Westminster seminary in Philadelphia, around 1984, I had printed a pamphlet and left it by the thousands in various places in and about the city of brotherly love.  The pamphlet read:

Amid the current maelstorm (sic) of incivility and reprehensible indecorum, the public waits for a voice that can return us to an acceptable state of decency.

Such a voice can be found in this organization. "People Urging Kindly Entreaty" is committed to trailblazing the way to that condition of compromised balance necessary for an orderly democratic society.

As few will deny, compromise is the cornerstone upon which this republic must rest. The absence of this spirit of compromise necessarily causes our republic to sink into the mire of discontent. "People Urging Kindly Entreaty" will change all this.

It is our goal to forge those conditions under which compromise can occur. Paramount in importance is the necessity for a clear and candid grasp of reality: not things as they should be, but things as they actually are. Upon such a grasp of reality alone can compromise be constructed.

This requires us to define some things many would desire to leave poorly or totally undefined.

Take for example the issue of abortion, surely one of the most divisive and potentially explosive issues looming on our public horizon. "People Urging Kindly Entreaty" proposes a compromise that is built upon the solid ground of objective fact. It is our contention that compromise has been impossible to achieve in this issue because selective perception has chosen to ignore clearly discernible facts.

During the Vietnam era, one of the more common inner-city graffiti stated, "What if they gave a war and nobody came?" This graffiti offered a succinct summary of one point of view concerning the war. Similarly, the current abortion reality could be summarized by declaring, "We gave a war but didn't tell anybody, so everybody came."

And so we did.

Legalized abortion is war against people who, if allowed to live, could destroy us all. "People Urging Kindly Entreaty" recognizes the reality of this war and, further, the necessity for it. Our current inability to find grounds for compromise can be traced to the fact that reasonable people have been unwilling to face one simple fact: this war is absolutely necessary for our survival.

Anyone familiar with the consequences of an overpopulated planet has to concede that our survival is dependent upon reducing our burgeoning population. If a war to eliminate poverty and a war to eliminate drugs is necessary, surely there can be little argument against the necessity for a war to eliminate overpopulation. And war inevitably produces casualties.

Our inability to find compromise on this abortion fiasco can be traced to poorly-handled tactical considerations. Certain unpleasant, but obviously justified, consequences of this war in which abortion is our most effective weapon were simply not anticipated. Leadership failed to anticipate the understandable revulsion created by an unseemly casualty-disposable system; and leadership's failure is at the root of public disapprobation with this issue. Even in war, certain amenities must be observed if at all possible.

In other words, we must give the little buggers a decent burial.

While "People Urging Kindly Entreaty" would never suggest full military honors are necessary, it is certainly feasible to set aside some unused public land near every municipality which could be designated as a quasi-military cemetery. There, each day, casualties could be transported and interred, with the drivers perhaps authorized to conduct some brief, informal services. (A simple armband for the drivers, and a small flag would suffice.) Upon such compromises to public discontent, a stable and decent democracy is built.

It is the purpose of "People Urging Kindly Entreaty" (PUKE) to continue to offer insightful and timely grounds of compromise on all the issues of the day. Won't you join with us as we restore our nation to decent, civilized discussion leading to compromise. Is it not your duty?

People Urging Kindly Entreaty (PUKE)

For the most part, People ignored my satire.

Since my satire did not work, I began to write a book entitled CALL IT REVOLUTION.  After struggling for years trying to find a publisher for the book that contained that idea, I finally got it into publication where tens of thousands of people read it on the Internet in 1997.

I wrote, “The most accurate name for legalized abortion is War...This is why War is more accurate than murder: Murder normally refers to homicides that have been declared illegal by the government. Speaking from the point of view of legal technicalities, murder cannot occur when a government gives its people permission to commit those particular homicides. Such government approved homicides are called either (1) war or (2) execution. Since execution is a homicide carried out after the person being executed has been granted an extended trial by law, execution does not fit the reality of legalized abortion. Therefore we are left with war…War fits legalized abortion perfectly. A war occurs when a government gives its citizens permission to kill, slay, terminate, etc. , a specific person or group of people without offering those people the benefit of legal due process--trial by Jury, etc. The government of the United States of America has given the mothers of unborn children permission to kill their unborn babies at any moment the whim so moves the mother. Such permission by government is exactly equivalent to the government declaring war on the unborn babies who are slaughtered…If that is what has happened, then it must be reported to have happened. I so report: War has been declared by the government of the United States of America on unborn babies in every city and town in this nation. Since, as the Declaration of Independence clearly states, the government of the United States of America derives its authority from the consent of the governed, every citizen of this nation who is not presently in prison for resisting this war is giving his/her consent to the war and thereby actively collaborating with the prosecution of said war…To deny the foregoing is to give evidence of what psychiatrists call "Denial," a mental illness carrying with it the gravest consequences for individuals and for societies. Since today the great majority denies the war being waged against unborn people by the government of the USA, future historians will look back on this period in history as a time of the "Great Insanity," or perhaps they will call it the "Time of Denial." In either case, we will be seen to have created a textbook example of mass social psychosis created by mass self-indulgence.”

As I continued to try to get people to hear what I was saying about the war in this nation, I eventually managed to find my way to national television programs where I was able to tell millions of viewers about the war that had already been launched in the USA.  While I managed to get millions of people to hear what I was saying about the war we the people have launched in this nation, they really didn’t hear me, if you know what I mean.

The DC Sniper has gotten the people to hear him.  And he is saying exactly the same thing I have been saying about the war that exists in the USA.  He is saying that every citizen of the United States of America--no matter how old or how young, no matter what his or her occupation, no matter where they live—is now living in a War Zone.

The DC sniper has gotten everybody’s attention because his example can be easily replicated in every city and town in the USA.  Already other cities around the country are finding that other snipers exactly like the DC Sniper are turning their cities into free-fire zones where every citizen has become a target of opportunity.  We the people are finally beginning to awaken to the fact that we are already in a War Zone.  That fact is becoming so clear that many people in the Washington DC area have begun to think about relocating, relocating exactly the way the refugees of war zones throughout history have relocated to escape the ravages of War.

Why is this happening?  I’m sincerely glad you asked.  I’ve been trying to get you to understand for years.  In 1995, I published an article called “Domestic Terrorism”.  It said in part:

“Few people deny that domestic terrorism is likely to increase during the future. Yet what are we doing that can effectively defuse that dynamic?

“Virtually nothing can be done as long as virtually every citizen in the nation is participating in the logic of denial perfectly personified by John Whitehead.

“The logic of denial means we are left with only one way to combat domestic terrorism: increased police and military protective measures.

“But those measures, instead of alleviating the impulse behind domestic terrorism, will only make the patient sicker.

“Then why will we do it?

“Simple: The police power "cure" is the only medicine presently supported by the majority, the consensus presently ruling our "popular" government. Even though most politicians know we are doing nothing to dig out terrorism at its root, they will rely on the increase-the-police "cure" on the premise that doing something will at least cover their collective ass from accusations of impotence and indifference. And in the process our "leaders" will do nothing to halt domestic terrorism. In fact, that response actually creates domestic terror because the response of leadership produces cynicism, one of the primary emotions leading to the pain and the rage that lie beneath all acts of domestic terrorism.

“If you meditate on the process described in the preceding paragraphs, you can clearly see the deadly cycle leading to domestic terrorism: counterproductive government action which leads to frustration, frustration which leads to cynicism, cynicism which leads to hopelessness, hopelessness which leads to pain, pain which leads to rage, and rage which leads to bombs--ever bigger bombs, bigger and bigger and bigger until the million man march or something like it is incinerated with a five megaton sleeper nuclear device irradiating inside the beltway--or the White House is vaporized.

“At that point, domestic terrorism becomes the driving force in the world around us: we all become slaves to the rule of terror.

“Since we understand that domestic terrorism is going to increase, and since we have some real insight into the dynamics behind domestic terrorism, isn't it possible that we can do what is necessary to defuse the march toward greater domestic terrorism?

“Certainly it is possible; but to do so we would need a strategy that can interrupt the pain at the root of domestic terrorism.

“Such a strategy begins by identifying the cause of the pain. If your finger hurts and you notice a splinter embedded in your skin, you know if you remove the splinter, the pain will likely be removed with it. Maybe not immediately, but the pain will go.

“Is there a splinter in the body politic of the United States of America?

“Actually, this nation suffers from a malady much more dangerous and grave than a splinter: this nation is suffering from a disease called amnesia.

“Amnesia is a dangerous ailment for any nation, but for one like the United States of America, it can be fatal.

“George Will says the USA is unique among all nations on earth because we are a nation created not in response to racial characteristics nor historic cultural alignments but in response to a mutual consent to propositions, mere words that define our self-image as a nation-- "Self-evident Truths" they were called. When we forgot the propositions that define us as a nation, we came down with terminal amnesia,” I concluded.

In a time of war where the war correspondent (in this case me) is at least as likely, if not more so, to be killed as his readers, there is little satisfaction to be gained by saying I told you so.  The only real satisfaction can be found in participating in organizing the response capable of stopping the war that is threatening to destroy everyone in the USA.  That response will only be possible if people finally grasp what has caused the war.  Unless the cause of the War can be grasped, a solution will never be found; but once the cause has been seen, finding a solution becomes a real possibility.

The cause is easily identified by anyone who has ever actually comprehended what the Apostle Paul tried to tell the world in Romans, chapter 1.  To be certain you have an opportunity to finally grasp the cause of the war in our midst, I will copy the relevant message in its entirety:

Romans 1:18   For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19   Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20   For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21   Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22   Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23   And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24   Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25   Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26   For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27   And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28   And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29   Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30   Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31   Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32   Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Did you get the message?

War comes when God withdraws the power of His grace from a people.  As the Apostle Paul’s words make clear, without the grace of God intervening in the affairs of human beings, human beings are little more than snarling beasts of prey, ever ready to do whatever is necessary to obey the commands of the ever present, ever hungry god: their belly.

The United States of America is at war and the carnage of war will continue to grow in this nation until God has been restored to His rightful place of authority in this nation.  That is no prophesy but a simple forecast that grows logically out of the commitment God stated through the Apostle Paul to refuse to supply His grace to any people who choose to refuse to glorify the Living God.

As I have been trying to get people to understand for nearly two decades now, The Creator's Rights Party is a political mechanism that can allow a non-terroristic outlet for the pain and rage that feed the terroristic impulse. Those who decide to support the effort begun here can actually arrest the forces behind the movement toward domestic terrorism. Conversely, those deciding to ignore the message contained here will continue to be, like John Whitehead and his entire ilk, what they have been in the past--prime movers in the escalating domestic terrorism in this nation.

Why has God withdrawn His grace from the United States of America?

God “gave them up” in the United States of America when His will was found to be of no importance in the formation of law and justice by the Supreme Court of the United States of America speaking in the name of we the people of the United States of America.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you need to review what the Supreme Court of the United States of America has done with the idea of God in this nation over the last forty years.  Until you understand that, you will continue to be utterly baffled as the shots ring out and the bombs explode and as you find yourself scuttling down the road with all your belongings on your back or in your cart like the peasant refugees of War have been doing from time out of mind.
